Nevada Reading Week 2024

Nevada Reading Week is a statewide event celebrating reading in Nevada during the week of March 4 - March 8 2024! United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, Spread the Word Nevada, PBS Reno, Washoe County Library Systems and Washoe County School District have partnered together to bring community volunteers to classrooms in select elementary schools during Nevada Reading Week 2024. Community volunteers will read a selected book to a classroom and share the importance of reading.

Reading sessions in each classroom will be 20-30 minutes in length and volunteers may read to more than one classroom during a volunteer shift. Books will be provided to volunteers to read to students. In order to allow as many people as possible to volunteer with Nevada Reading Week, please select only one shift.
